Generic.UnsignedApps is Malwarebytes’ detection name for unsigned apps on a system running macOS.
Type of infection
Generic.UnsignedApps is the detection name for apps that are not signed with a valid developer signature. These apps could put your system at risk. Unsigned apps are downloaded from sources outside of the Mac App Store, which means they were not checked by Apple.
Aftermath
To install unsigned apps you would have to checked the option to “Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere.” For security reasons, you may want to turn this feature back off.
